RESPONSIBILITY
“We rise by lifting others”
Social | Local | People | Environment
Sustainability is the key concept Apina incorporates into our products. We believe that, for a furniture product to be sustainable and environmentally responsible, it must be durable and able to withstand use over a long period of time. Every time a piece of furniture is replaced, more waste is added to our world. This is an issue that we take seriously.
Our commitment lies in our product design, which emphasises multi-functionality. As we want our furniture to grow with our customers, it is crucial that our products be able to adjust, adapt and accommodate their ever-changing needs, from the moment they are born until they become fully-fledged adults. A shining example of this commitment is our “Board Burger System”, which can add and remove storage units according to house size and purpose. Our transformable baby cot, which can change from a cot to a bed as a baby grows, is another example of Apina’s multi-functional design principle.
Our company is not only concerned with making furniture of exceptional quality. We are proud of the fact that our factory, located in the Klaeng district, Rayong Province, is the only factory where every worker is a local resident. In the Klaeng district, we have worked extensively with local residents, non-profit organisations and authorities on amazing projects that improve the well-being of the locals, such as building a public library, founding a local childhood activities development association and creating a local youth volunteer spirit program.
We not only offer help to those in need, but we have also adopted the concept of sustainability in our factory. We passionately advocate organic farming by encouraging our workers to use our land to grow their food and to share the surplus with their neighbours. Here at the Apina factory, we are not only making furniture, we also grow rice, beans and other indigenous crops, not to sell, but to share with our workers.
